Ben Nevis
The highest mountain in the British Isles at 4,409 feet,
Scotland's Ben Nevis is incredible.
Casey and I took a cable car to the top
and then took a little trip to the View Point.
Can you say magnifique, ladies and gents?
I know it's got nothing on the Rockies or the Appalachians,
but like any natural landscape, it is unique.
Ben Nevis is in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands,
rising impressively from the Grampian Mountain range near Fort William.
Criss-crossing the slopes of the peak are numerous bicycle tracks,
evidence of the brave souls who race down the face of the mountain.
(I hope my brother never gets the whim to go. It looks so dangerous!)
Bubbling streams amble down the mountainside,
thawed remnants of the snow capped heights.
The air is crisp, even in May.
And you have to be careful when jumping,
as the playful wind likes to bite and push.
Thank you, God, for creating mountains.
They are awesome.
